How do I open a file?
Choose Launch PhotoCraft, wait for the editor interface, then use File → Open inside it. For a simple exercise, choose Try sample demo; its Open image control accepts JPEG, PNG or WebP under 20 MB and up to 36 megapixels. Files selected elsewhere are not transferred into the editor.
For layered text, use the full editor and follow the PSD inspection steps. The canyon sample is a flat image, not a PSD compatibility test.
How do I save a project or export PNG?
- In the full editor, use Save As to keep a separate editable file. Keep the original document.
- Use Export for a flat deliverable such as PNG. A flat image does not retain editable text or layers.
- Open the downloaded file and compare dimensions, transparency, text and effects before closing the editor.
The lightweight sample has Export PNG only; it does not save a layered project. Refreshing, closing or changing renderer can lose unsaved work.
Which browsers are tested?
The desktop Chromium checks cover image opening, rotation, PNG export and a single-layer PSD save and reopen in the upstream editor with WebGL. They do not certify editable PSD text or Photoshop round trips. Layout checks at phone width do not certify touch editing, iOS Safari or Android browsers.
For large or important documents, use a desktop environment and keep a copy. Find the official desktop downloads if your browser cannot finish the task.
What if the canvas is blank?
First distinguish an unloaded app from an empty document. Try a small image with File → Open. Before a reload or renderer change, save any work you can. The renderer selector applies before launch; Open full window can help isolate an embedded file-dialog problem.

Are files uploaded?
The hosted editor and sample process editing files in your browser rather than sending the document to our application server. The AI tools submit prompts and reference files to KIE only through their separate generation workflow. Read the file handling and retention policy before using cloud tools.
What can I do after exporting?
Save the editable project and a flat image first. For a new variation, upload that saved image to Image to Image. To add motion, upload it separately to Image to Video. These cloud services require credits and may alter details; there is no automatic file transfer.
